Book 4

Book 4 – Orchid Hunter

April 1931

Detective Lieutenant Marx investigates the murder of an elderly botanist—committed via April Fool’s prank—which renders alibis useless. Meanwhile, Lowan dives into the black-market orchid trade to recover the main attraction stolen before the Easter flower show. When their investigations intersect, puzzling notes implicate a man who died in a tiger attack in the jungles of Borneo thirty-five years ago. As the deadline approaches and old secrets come to light—the murderer would strike again to keep them hidden.

S. E. Grosskopf’s writing is strongly influenced by the old pulp fiction magazines and Golden Age radio dramas of the 1930s-1950s.  If you like fast-paced action and mystery with a dash of urban fantasy and quirkiness, then you’ll love these books.  This is the fourth book in the series.  The books follow chronologically. Reading them in order is recommended.

I wish you the best of luck with your business, enjoy the adventure.
